INTRODUCTION

To Breastfeed is to love! And also, can save human lives.

The gestation, the childbirth and the breastfeed act are extremely meaningful phases of a women life. However, not ever this moments are experienced in life in its plenitude.

In spite of the incontestable value of human milk and the benefits of the breastfeeding act, precocious wean is quite common in our society, inclusively between woman with a financial good condition.

Many studies have been done confirming the benefits of the human milk, but also the breastfeeding act for the sucklings, women, and society. There are many benefits, like nutritional, immune, psychological, orthodontic, economic, maternal, and many others.

Based in this facts, we understand that the health care workers have to be conscious about their part to promote, protect and support the breastfeeding act.

Collaborating with this cause we develop this review, that have with primordial objective, to discuss the breastfeeding act, and also all topics and correlated situations. And try to clarify doubts and incentive the habits for a better life.
