ABSTRACT

Nowadays mother´s suckle become an option, but some time ago it was a physiological and natural act. In Brazil, in spite of trying to ransom the practice of feeding on milk by mothers, it is still much below than the World Organization advice. Although a great number of children are breastfeeding in the beginning, it is short the time of keeping, besides it is not exclusive. Developing this study, we hope to contribute by the elucidation of the fact that to breastfeed is very important for a healthy life, and consequently for a better life quality.
