This project, Hypermedia System of Auditive Training for Deaf People, was developed in the Stage of UNIVALI Computing Science Course, in covenant with SAPS Deaf People Support Service.
The System, through the stimulus of auditive residue of each student. The system is basically divides into three modules that together make up a complete auditive training, and they are:
- Environmental Sounds Module;
- Instrumental Sounds Module;
- Voice Sounds Module;
The System was made in graphic environment with Director 6.0 from Macromedia. The children choose one of the three available modules with always a training first, and it´s just to click on the picture, and listen the corresponding sound. After that, the test module choose a sound and the user must click on the object which relates to the sound.
The methodology of the project that was used figure out too effective, getting in a clear way to document all the system parts, including the transition and its events.
The Auditive Training System for Deaf People don´t replace the teacher, but gives an important tool for the learning-teaching process.
