It will provide an international forum for sharing and exchanging of original research results, ideas and practical development experiences among researchers and application developers from different medical application related areas dealing with the analysis of biomedical data and its impact.

ISMDA 2001 will be held in Madrid, the capital of Spain, a city with an exciting cultural and social life, with some of the most important museums of the world, such as the Prado, the Thyssen or the Centro Reina Sofía. Famous painting such as Velazquez´s Las Meninas or Picasso´s Guernica can be seen here. Many monuments, classical buildings, royal palaces, and theaters offering operas and zarzuelas can be visited most part of the year. Madrid has a amazing night life with many restaurants and shows, ranging from the opera or zarzuela to flamenco.
