Department of Pathology. Clínica Universitaria. University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain. Maria D. Lozano, MD, PhD.
Case history: A 77-year-old woman comes into to the hospital for follow up. She has undergone adrenal gland excision and nephrectomy in 1993 for a neoplasm of adrenal gland. She has been well until 2004 when she was diagnosed and treated (chemo/radiotherapy plus surgery) for a ductal carcinoma of the head of her pancreas. The entire tests performed during the follow-up were satisfactory. During the last work out an asymptomatic 4-cm mass located near duodenum and right psoas muscle was found. An EUS-FNA was performed. The slide comes from this procedure.
